Synopsis
Sonic is prepared for freedom now that he’s settled in Green Hills, and Tom and Maddie decide to leave him at home while they travel. But as soon as they are gone, Dr. Robotnik reappears in quest of an emerald that has the power to both create and destroy civilizations. This time, he is accompanied by Knuckles, a new accomplice. In order to obtain the emerald before it is taken by his enemies, Sonic teams up with Tails, his own sidekick.
Sonic and his new companion, Tails, are the only ones fighting in Dr. Robotnik’s path when he and a new ally, Knuckles the Echidna, arrive on Earth. This is perhaps the most entertaining video game adaptation in history, and Sonic is back with a bang. Jim Carrey was fantastic in the part of Dr. Robotnik, and he even improved on his performance from the first time around.
The 2022 action-adventure comedy movie Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is based on the Sega video game series and is the sequel to Sonic the Hedgehog (2020). Ben Schwartz reprises his role as the voice of Sonic the Hedgehog in this Jeff Fowler-directed film, which also stars Colleen O’Shaughnessey, Idris Elba, Jim Carrey, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Lee Majdoub, Adam Pally, Tom Butler, Shemar Moore, and Natasha Rothwell.
